I always try and think of some worthwhile way to celebrate the anniversary of starting Oasis, but never come up with anything but popping up a post on the front page making note of it.
In any event, Oasis will turn 12 on December 1, after me launching it back on 12/1/1995. Don't do the math, I know you were all 5-years-old then...
The proper gift for a 12th anniversary is silk, apparently. So, that doesn't lead to any ideas...
So, any way to celebrate proper? Anyone?
Rainbow Cake? have the
Rainbow Cake? have the remains of the old site anywhere? you could maybe put them up somewhere. I was 4 actually when Oasis was created btw. I really have no clue, sing it happy birthday. Go to the data center and find whatever server it's on and play pin the tail on the server?
Hmm...
Site is actually up in Vancouver, I think.
I could easily post the columns (now journals) of the original Oasis posters, probably like 8-10 people, I think.

HELP!
Hey I´m sorry to post this here but I don´t know what else to do. FOr months I´ve been trying to log in here, but for some strange reason I never get the email that is supposed to give me my passsword, so I´m pretty much stuck. Besides I tried emailing Jeff as it says on top of this page, but nothing happened. Please help me Jeff, I looooove this site and I want to be able to log in. A million thanx if you can help me.
PS: I cant even post the user name I picked in the first place, so I´m posting with a differnet one.
Hmm...
I usually bang out the oasis password e-mails pretty quickly. Not sure why I didn't get it, but try again and we'll get you on here...

Maybe you could replace the
Maybe you could replace the image for the title thing with a fancy decorated image of the title, like Google and Deviantart do on holidays and things. That might be more complicated than it sounds, though.
And, branching from that, you could have a happy-birthday art contest! Someone mentioned contests up there- art contests online usually reap some funny / adorable results, it also gives people a chance to support each other by looking at and complimenting the artworks.
For the record, I was weeks away from turning seven.
Err...
I still can't get Adrian to make it say Oasis Journals, so not sure we're up for anything fancy in that regard... :-)
